    Want to create a more minimalist wardrobe but don’t know where to start? Do a wardrobe audit! 📝 ⠀ So many of our clothing challenges stem from a lack of clarity. For many of us, what we think we like wearing and what we actually wear are two totally different things. This is how we end up with a closet full of clothes we hardly (if ever) wear. ⠀ For me these were expensive blazers, silk blouses, pencil skirts, and 4-inch heels that I wore back when I was a city-dwelling professional, before kids. Clarity came from acknowledging that's not who I am anymore. These days you can find me in high-waisted leggings and comfy t-shirts, or skinny jeans and oversized sweaters — and that's 90% of what you'll see in my closet now. ⠀ If you want to create a more minimalist wardrobe, start with an audit. Separate the things you like wearing and wear often from everything else. Look for commonalities in the things you love —like color, cut, and fabric– as these will help you get clear on what your style really is. ⠀ Then, take a long, hard look at what's left.
