    • As I was passing the hospital on my way to Costco earlier, I burst into tears. Suddenly it hit me...⠀ ⠀ Two years ago today, almost to the hour, I was pulling into the emergency room parking lot with my lethargic little boy in the back seat. We didn't know it at the time but Noah, then two, had contracted a bad case of RSV and his little lungs were overwhelmed. Unfortunately, just three days later, his 11-week-old sister joined him. Between the two of them we spent 19 days in the hospital, six of which Inès spent in the NICU on CPAP while receiving pumped breast milk through a feeding tube.⠀ ⠀ I'm sharing this because this experience was a driving force behind our simplifying journey and this blog. Amidst the chaos of those few weeks and the year that followed, simplifying gave me the sense of control and peace I so desperately needed during that time. ⠀ ⠀ I discovered minimalism can be both a blessing and powerful coping mechanism during times of stress and anxiety.
